PROGRESS WATCH: Colliers cites Cagayan de Oro’s rising hotel industry

Colliers, a leading professional services and investment management company, has recognized the presence of both current and upcoming homegrown and international hotel brands in Cagayan de Oro City, including Radisson Blu Hotel, Sheraton, Dusit Thani, and the recently opened Hamersons Hotel. This was highlighted during the inaugural South Luzon Property Market Briefing held on August 27 at Brittany Hotel in Vilar City, Bacoor, Cavite.

One of the presentation slides featured a map titled “Invasion of the Giants,” highlighting the upcoming homegrown and international hotel brands in the country. This surge is attributed to increased optimism about rising international arrivals and planned modernization of international airports. The map included logos of four hotel brands—Radisson Blu Hotel, Sheraton, Dusit Thani, and Hamersons Hotel—marked for Cagayan de Oro. However, it overlooked the confirmed entry of the Citadines brand by Ascott into the city.
