PROJECT WATCH: DPWH targets 5-month completion for Detour Road at collapsed Buda section in Quezon, Bukidnon

Following his inspection of the massive road collapse in Sitio Kipolot, Brgy. Palacapao, Quezon, Bukidnon, on October 21, DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon committed to completing the permanent detour road within five months. The move underscores the urgency of reopening this vital section of the Buda Road—an essential link between Northern Mindanao and Davao—that was severely damaged by a recent landslide.

Aside from Bukidnon Governor Roque, Dizon also met with local and regional officials and Quezon Mayor Pablo Lorenzo III and experts from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) who will conduct soil stability assessments, a crucial step before rebuilding begins.
