DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon inspected the collapsed portion of the Bukidnon–Davao Road in Sitio Kipolot, Barangay Palacapao, Quezon, Bukidnon with DPWH and local officials to assess the damage and fast-track repairs. He emphasized the importance of restoring the major route connecting Northern Mindanao and the Davao Region. The DPWH will conduct a geotechnical investigation and build a detour road, in coordination with the MGB-DENR, to address the landslide and other areas affected by unstable soil.
Also present during the inspection were DPWH OIC–Undersecretary for Convergence and Technical Services Lara Marisse Esquibil, Bukidnon Governor Rogelio Neil P. Roque, Quezon Mayor Pablo “Poling” M. Lorenzo III, and DPWH Region X Regional Director Lilibeth Aparecio.
