Two alleged suspects in the murder of Mister Cagayan de Oro candidate Adriane Rovic Fornillos in May 2023 were arrested by combined elements of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), Pagadian City Police Station and operatives of Police Regional Office 10 in Pagadian City. The arrested individuals, aged 35 and 38, are residents of the city and are believed to be members of a gun-for-hire group. They were apprehended based on a warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 17, 10th Judicial Region in Cagayan de Oro City for the crime of murder, with no bail recommended. It can be recalled that Dimver Andales and Jether “Kuya” Nonot, both pastors of the Lapasan Baptist Church were earlier arrested in October 2023 in connection with the murder of Fornillos. Both have denied involvement in the case.
