Dimver Andales and Jether “Kuya” Nonot, both pastors of the Lapasan Baptist Church were arrested early today, October 16, by Cagayan de Oro City police under the leadership of PCol. Salvador Radam in connection with the murder of Mister Cagayan de Oro candidate Adriane Rovic Fornillos, based on a Warrant of Arrest issued by Branch 39 Judge Marites Felomina B. Rana Bernales. Both suspects were taken to the Agora Lapasan Police Station for proper disposition and are currently en route to the court, where they will subsequently be transferred to Lumbia City Jail pending trial.
According to news reports, both Andales and Nonot were found to have Certainty of Conviction after several months of investigation and case build-up in relation to the murder of Fornillos. Below are the mugshots of the suspects.
Fornillos was shot dead by unidentified suspects while riding his motorcycle on the evening of May 9 in Nazareth.
