A certain “Boboy” has come forward claiming to be the middleman who hired two gunmen involved in the killing of Mister Cagayan de Oro candidate Adriane Rovic Fornillos in May 2023. In an interview by iFM-CDO, Boboy alleged that Pastor Dimver Andales contacted him to look to arrange the murder, accusing Fornillos of having an affair with the pastor’s wife. Wearing what appeared to be a fencing face mask concealing his identity, Boboy expressed his willingness to help and testify as a witness, stating that guilt and conscience drove him to reveal the truth.
It can be recalled that Fornillos was fatally shot by unidentified suspects while riding his motorcycle on the evening of May 9 in Nazareth. Following months of investigation, police arrested Andales and Jether “Kuya” Nonot, both affiliated with the Lapasan Baptist Church, on October 16 in connection with the murder.

Meanwhile, the Fornillo Family’s legal counsel, Atty Dale Bryan Mordeno, believes “Boboy” to be a credible witness, noting that his statements is consistent with the findings of the police investigation. They are now coordinating with the City Prosecutor’s Office to secure his eligibility for the government’s witness protection program.
