Aboitiz Renewables, Inc. (ARI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation, and Manolo Fortich Power Corporation (MFPC), a business unit of ABC Energy Inc., a subsidiary of A Brown Co. Inc., signed a Joint Development and Investment Agreement on October 30 for the development, financing, construction, and operation of a 191-MWac solar power facility in Barangay Dalirig, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The project will feature an integrated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and associated interconnection facilities.
Under the agreement, ARI acquired a 60% equity stake in MFPC. Both the acquisition and the signing of the agreement were disclosed in separate filings with the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).
