More renderings of the ₱1.14-billion Ozamiz City Airport Modernization Project were presented by Misamis Occidental Governor Henry Oaminal during his 5th State of the Province Address (SOPA) on November 2. Aside from the new two-storey passenger terminal building and runway upgrade, the project will include a Fire Station Building with an SCBA Refilling Plant, an Administration Building, a Cargo Terminal Building, a new Well-Wishers and Concession Area, and a Vehicular Parking Area. It will also feature runway and airfield lighting to support night flights, as well as a Bird Abatement System.
