A total of 118 Hawksbill Sea Turtle hatchlings were successfully released into the sea on June 15, 2026, at the coastal area of Barangay Artadi, Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental, as part of the municipality’s continuing efforts to protect and preserve sea turtles. The activity was attended by local government officials, environmental personnel, police representatives, and community members who showed their support for the conservation initiative. Through the release, the municipality aims to strengthen environmental awareness and community participation in protecting the endangered species and ensuring their survival for future generations.
