A beautiful conservation moment took place off the coast of Magsaysay in Misamis Oriental as 82 hatchlings of the endangered Hawksbill sea turtle were released into the sea. The activity highlights ongoing efforts to protect and restore marine biodiversity in the region. The Hawksbill turtle, known for its strikingly beautiful shell and vital role in maintaining coral reef ecosystems, remains critically endangered due to poaching, habitat loss, and pollution. Efforts like this release not only help protect the species but also remind us of the importance of preserving marine life and sustaining the delicate balance of our oceans.
