On April 24, 2026, a total of 71 Hawksbill sea turtle hatchlings were successfully released into the sea in Brgy. Damayuhan, Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental as part of ongoing marine conservation efforts. This follows the earlier release of 69 Hawksbill hatchlings on April 17 in Brgy. San Isidro. The milestone activity was led by municipal and barangay officials, together with representatives from CENRO Gingoog, the Municipal Agriculture Office, the SK Federation, and community volunteers, underscoring a shared commitment to protecting marine life and preserving coastal resources.
