The City Government of Cagayan de Oro will be building a new Fish Terminal Complex replacing the decades-old Bulua facility. To be located at Zone 1, Punta, Bonbon, it will cover an area of 2.9 hectares and will include a fish landing area, ice plant, fish processing facilities, an administrative building and other related facilities. A team comprising of concerned goverment agencies recently inspected the site which is near the Macabalan-Bonbon Bridge.

Here is the location of the fish terminal complex, which will accommodate more fish wholesalers.

This proposal is distinct from the privately initiated plan for a modern fish landing facility in Punta, Macabalan, being proposed by the Cagayan de Oro Seafood Wholesalers Association (COSWA).
