PROJECT WATCH: 5,000-capacity Divine Mercy Convention Center rising in El Salvador City

The Divine Mercy Convention Center is taking shape within the Divine Mercy Shrine Complex in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. Designed to accommodate around 5,000 participants, the facility will host religious conventions, conferences, retreats, and gatherings of Catholic organizations from the Philippines and abroad. It forms part of the Shrine’s ongoing development plans to support its religious mission and provide a venue for worship, reflection, fellowship, and large-scale gatherings of pilgrims and visiting communities.

Below are perspectives of the convention center.

The convention center is part of the Shrine’s broader development plans to accommodate pilgrims and visiting religious communities. Its proximity to Laguindingan Airport could attract local and international participants, helping establish El Salvador City as a religious convention destination while boosting tourism and creating opportunities for local hotels, restaurants, transport providers, and other businesses.
