House Bill declaring Magsaysay, MisOr as Hawksbill Turtle Capital of the Philippines approved on 2nd reading

House Bill No. 9098, which seeks to declare Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental, as the Hawksbill Turtle Capital of the Philippines, has been approved on second reading by the House Committee on Natural Resources. Authored by Misamis Oriental 1st District Representative Atty. Jennifer “Karen” A. Lagbas, the bill aims to formally recognize Magsaysay’s efforts in conserving and protecting hawksbill sea turtles and promoting marine biodiversity.
