RANDOM SHOTS: Kath Arado shines in homecoming as PLDT beats Akari in PVL On Tour

Kathleen Faith Arado did not disappoint her hometown fans during her homecoming, helping the PLDT High Speed Hitters defeat the Akari Chargers, 25-14, 26-24, 21-25, 25-20, in the PVL On Tour last Saturday, August 15, at the Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium in Tubod, Lanao del Norte. The pride of Tipanoy, Iligan City, Arado was named Best Player of the Game after delivering a solid defensive performance with 19 excellent digs and seven excellent receptions in front of her family and friends.

Arado studied at Iligan City National High School before joining the University of the East (UE), where she played in the UAAP and was named Rookie of the Year in 2014. She later represented the Philippines as part of the Under-19 women’s national volleyball team at the 2016 Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championship. She also served as the team’s libero during the 2016 Southeast Asian Junior Women’s Volleyball Championships.

In the first game, Farm Fresh Foxies defeated Nxled Chameleons in 3 straight sets, 25 – 23, 25 – 13, 25 – 22.
