With the heat index reaching dangerously high levels, many motorists leave their car windows slightly open while parked under the sun, but one car owner in Cagayan de Oro learned the hard way that even a small opening can give thieves access. CCTV footage shared by netizen Jerson Carumba Obianda Elementz shows one suspect reaching through the small window opening and apparently unlocking the car door, after which a second suspect opened the door and took the victim’s wallet and cellphone before walking away. The incident reportedly happened beside in Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City. The victim is warning friends and contacts not to respond to suspicious messages from his stolen phone, especially requests for money, and is urging them to report any such attempts to the police.
