Operatives from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro, together with personnel from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local police units, arrested seven individuals during simultaneous raids on a warehouse and a sari-sari store in Poblacion, Valencia City, Bukidnon on June 18, 2026. The suspects were allegedly involved in the sale and distribution of adulterated, unlabeled, and unregistered cooking oil. Authorities seized approximately 25,000 liters of cooking oil valued at around ₱5.5 million from the warehouse and store, citing the absence of the required FDA permits and licenses. The operation stemmed from alleged violations of the Food and Drug Administration Act, the Consumer Act, and the Food Safety Act, with the CIDG urging consumers to exercise caution and avoid purchasing food products from unverified sources.
