Dr. Cecilia O. Bucayong of Central Mindanao University in Maramag, Bukidnon and Dr. Jefferson A. Hora of Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology in Iligan City have been named national semi-finalists in the 2026 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos under the Award for Teachers – Higher Education category, one of the country’s most prestigious recognition programs for educators. Bucayong, Director for Environmental and Safety Management at CMU, and Hora, Dean of the College of Engineering at MSU-IIT, earned the distinction for their exemplary contributions to higher education.
