Congressman Rufus Rodriguez recently inspected the ongoing construction of Phase 2 of the Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road Project, covering the Puerto–Gusa Section, and secured ₱150 million for FY 2025 to ensure its continued implementation. Once completed, the coastal road is expected to ease traffic congestion, improve connectivity, and boost economic activity in northern and eastern Cagayan de Oro. The 9.3-kilometer, four-lane concrete highway includes viaducts and bridges across Baloy Port and several rivers, with Phase 2 construction having started in 2021 and targeted for completion by 2028. To date, ₱1.4 billion has been allocated for the project through Congressman Rodriguez’s legislative efforts.
