Here are the latest renderings of the 6.33-kilometer viaduct—a major component of the 8.95-kilometer Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road (Puerto-Gusa Section)—as presented during today’s 16th Full Council Meeting of the Cagayan de Oro City Development Council held at Chali Resort and Conference Center in Cugman. The viaduct is a critical structure as it will span over private ports in Baloy and cross the Gusa, Cugman, Umalag, and Agusan Rivers. While reclamation work is still ongoing at both ends of the Coastal Road, the feasibility study for the ₱20-billion viaduct was completed last year and is now awaiting funding.

The Gusa-Puerto Section of the Coastal Road is currently only 2.865% complete, with just ₱1.37 billion funded out of the total project cost of ₱47.8 billion.

The figures reflect the updated project cost, up from last year’s estimate of ₱36.294 billion.
