COA finds 11 ‘uncompleted’ infrastructure projects in CDO by DPWH in 2024 reported as ‘100 percent complete’

The Commission on Audit (COA) has flagged eleven (11) infrastructure projects in Cagayan de Oro City that were declared “100 percent complete” in 2024 by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) but were found to be uncompleted. Of these, eight projects totaling ₱532,075,000 were implemented by the Cagayan de Oro City 1st District Engineering Office (DEO), including several phases of the Iponan Bridge Widening Project, while three projects worth ₱208,619,703.33 were under the CDO 2nd DEO.

Many residents have also noted that the project has been ongoing since the pandemic.
