The House of Representatives has approved on third and final reading House Bill No. 5663, which seeks to rename the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTSP) to the University of Science and Technology of the Philippines (USTP). Although many already use USTP as the university’s abbreviation, the enactment of this bill into law will make the name officially recognized.
