Endangered Pinsker’s Hawk-Eagle rescued in Cagayan de Oro turned over to DENR-X

An endangered Pinsker’s Hawk-Eagle (Nisaetus pinskeri) was rescued in Barangay Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City, and turned over to the DENR Region X Regional Wildlife Rescue Center for treatment and rehabilitation. The injured raptor, found with wounds on its head and wing, was cared for by the DENR’s wildlife team and veterinarian Dr. Rodner Tuquib. The species, protected under Republic Act 9147, will undergo rehabilitation before possible release back into the wild. DENR X urges the public to report any wildlife sightings to support conservation efforts.
