A male motorcycle driver and his female passenger were killed in a tragic accident in Barangay Aplaya, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, after their motorcycle struck a dog crossing the national highway. CCTV footage showed the collision caused them to lose balance and fall into the path of an oncoming passenger bus bound for Cagayan de Oro, which ran them over. The dog also died in the incident. The bus driver is now in the custody of the Jasaan Municipal Police Station and may face charges depending on the decision of the victims’ families.
