El Salvador City, led by Mayor Edgar “Esalig” Lignes, was recently recognized by the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) as one of the top-performing cities in the Philippines, ranking 9th nationwide in Total Current Operating Expenditures (TCOE) per Capita for Fiscal Year 2024. The award, presented at SM Aura Premier in Taguig City, honors local governments for excellence in financial management. Mayor Lignes and his team received the recognition on behalf of the city.
