Cagayan de Oro City Hall is set to deputize barangay officials to issue Ordinance Violation Receipts (OVRs) to individuals caught violating local ordinances, particularly those involved in the illegal dumping of garbage. City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy met with barangay captains yesterday to discuss strategies and initiatives addressing waste collection concerns in their respective areas. Meanwhile, Task Force Basura marks its fourth day of intensified operations, clearing accumulated garbage along the city’s major thoroughfares.
