It’s now confirmed that the ongoing civil works at the intersection of Julio Pacana Street and the Puntod-Kauswagan Bridge form part of the 38-meter wide Puntod Rotunda Project. A billboard on-site shows this is under Project ID 25K00364, with a budget of ₱95.2 million, which also covers the flaring of the intersection at Gusa Coastal Road. Previously, the flaring of intersections at the rotunda site was implemented under Project ID 24K00145 funded by the 2024 GAA (₱158.26 million). The current project poses added challenges as the site sits on a slightly sloping area, requiring significant earthfilling works to level the ground.
The onsite project billboard indicates that the Puntod Rotunda Project has been awarded to Triparco Development Corporation, with completion targeted for March 2026.
Excavation works have been ongoing for a couple of weeks already.
