Cagayan de Oro 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez led the turnover of the new ₱25-million Administration Building for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines at the 15-hectare Mapawa Nature Park in Malasag, Barangay Cugman. The facility will serve as a permanent hub to strengthen scouting programs and youth development, with future plans for a grandstand, arena, dormitories, and training areas. Rep. Rodriguez reaffirmed his support for the Scouting Movement, calling the site a training ground for discipline, leadership, and civic responsibility. The area is under the tenurial instrument of the Emmanuel Pelaez Ranch Inc. (EPRI).
