Everyone knows Macahambus Cave in Bayanga, Cagayan de Oro City—but just a few steps away is another hidden spot waiting to be rediscovered: Macahambus Gorge. Once promoted as an adventure destination, the gorge eventually faded from the spotlight and was closed to the public due to safety concerns. Still, the gorge—with its lush greenery and historic cave that sheltered revolutionaries—remains a fascinating site. With the right development, this forgotten gem could shine again for both history lovers and adventure seekers.
