Just as a pair of wild, untagged Philippine eagles were recently spotted soaring together over the province, 1st District Congressman Jose Manuel F. Alba has filed House Bill No. 03729 seeking the establishment of a Philippine Eagle Center in Bukidnon. Envisioned as a sanctuary for the country’s critically endangered national bird, the center would serve as a hub for conservation, research, and public education, while also promoting eco-tourism and creating local job opportunities. In his explanatory note, Cong. Alba emphasized that Bukidnon’s lush forests and diverse ecosystems make it the perfect location to protect and breed these majestic raptors, ensuring their survival for generations to come.
