Have you seen Bambike’s bamboo bicycles? These custom-built, eco-friendly, human-powered bikes—crafted with frames made from bamboo—are famously used for ecotours around Intramuros. Now, a sample unit is on display at the “From Forest to Future: Engineering & Innovative Applications of Bamboo” expo at Centrio Ayala Mall. The exhibit is organized by the Department of Science and Technology – Region 10 (DOST-10), in partnership with the Office of Bukidnon Congressman Jose Manuel F. Alba. Bambikes are known for being lightweight, sustainably manufactured, and for providing excellent vibration damping—making them both environmentally friendly and comfortable to ride.
