Motorists are advised to slow down and exercise extra caution when driving along the section of Sayre Highway near Mangima in Dalirig, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, where a landslide occurred several days ago. To ensure safety, local authorities have installed barriers to keep vehicles away from the edge. The landslide, brought about by days of heavy rainfall, also caused a cavity to form beneath part of the highway next to the cliff, as shown in these aerial photos by Christian Paul Torrentira Baran.
There is no information yet on when the DPWH will repair or rehabilitate the damaged portion of the highway.
