Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy, together with Environmental Management Bureau Regional Director Reynaldo S. Digamo, led the ceremonial commissioning of the ₱27-million new Wastewater Treatment Facility at Carmen Public Market on July 8, 2025. The facility can process up to 240 cubic meters of wastewater per day and is the first of its kind established to properly treat wastewater generated from one of the city’s largest and busiest public markets.
The event was also attended by Carmen Punong Barangay Hon. Ranier Joaquin “Kikang” Uy, representatives from the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO) and the City Economic Enterprises and Business Development Administration (CEBDA), along with other key city officials and staff.
