The Cagayan de Oro River Basin and Adjacent Rivers Water Quality Management Area (CDORBAR WQMA) and the Tagoloan River Basin Water Quality Management Area (TRB WQMA) were recognized as among the Top 16 Outstanding Water Quality Management Areas during the 2025 Water Summit held from June 25 to 27, 2025 at Park Inn Hotel, North EDSA, Quezon City.
Representing EMB Region X Regional Director Reynaldo S. Digamo, the awards were received by Engr. Rosalinda L. Ilogon, along with Engr. Armen Cuenca (LGU-Cagayan de Oro City) for CDORBAR WQMA and Engr. Jeffrey Elogsong (LGU-Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental) for TRB WQMA. They were joined by Joanna G. Galarpe and Angelie Claire B. Sayson of EMB-X.
The recognition affirms the continued commitment of Region X stakeholders in protecting and improving water quality through collaborative governance, strong local initiatives, and meaningful partnerships across sectors.
