While the initial phase of construction progressed a bit slowly, work on the SM City CDO Uptown Redevelopment Project in Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City has noticeably picked up in recent weeks. Construction activity is in full swing in the area designated for the proposed SM Supermarket, with workers and materials actively onsite. Meanwhile, the first walkbridge has already been installed, connecting the North Wing to the Main Mall, although the large opening at the main mall is still not observed.

The first walkbridge connecting the North Wing to the Main Mall is now in place. However, there has been little to no noticeable progress in recent weeks.

At the Main Mall, the work area has already been enclosed with large tarpaulins which read “SMthing new is coming! Transformation in progress to give you a better malling experience“.

The cinema area on the north side has already been closed off, leaving only a small access path leading to the C-ONE Sports Center Badminton Courts.

Finally, the large pylon signage outside the mall is also being rehabilitated.

Keep posted.
