Aboitiz InfraCapital, Inc. (AIC) will officially handle the operations and management of Laguindingan International Airport next month. AIC has previously stated its commitment to increasing the airport’s capacity from its current 1.6 million passengers annually to 3.9 million by the end of the first phase of expansion, and to 6.3 million passengers by the second phase. The firm will be investing Php 12.75 billion to modernize and transform the airport into a world-class gateway that will boost connectivity, tourism, and economic growth in Northern Mindanao.

The Concession Agreement for the Laguindingan International Airport Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project was signed on October 28, 2024, at Malacañang.
