Several individuals were issued an Ordinance Violation Receipts (OVR) by a team form Cagayan de Oro City Hall’s Regulatory Compliance Board (RCB) for drinking along the road leading to the Aquilino Pimentel Jr. International Convention Center in Sitio Taguanao, Barangay Indahag last Saturday, February 1. They were found in violation of City Ordinance No. 5133, which prohibits drinking liquor in public places such as parks, roads, sidewalks, and alleys.
Although the road to the convention center is a popular spot for drinking sessions due to its quiet surroundings, many nearby residents have raised complaints about noise and occasional disturbances, especially from groups when drunk.
