Passenger traffic expected to rise at Ozamiz Airport after Philippine Airlines ends Pagadian flights

Ozamiz City Airport is expected to see a rise in passenger traffic following Philippine Airlines’ (PAL) decision to discontinue their flights to Pagadian City as of January 14, 2025, after nearly five years of service. PAL’s final flight, PR 2784, left Pagadian City Airport at 5:05 PM with 58 passengers onboard. Sources cited low passenger demand as the primary reason for ending the service. While travellers from Pagadian still have Cebu Pacific as an alternative, some may choose Ozamiz Airport for PAL flights, as it is the nearest domestic airport, approximately two hours away.
