Toyland Bistro overcame a 23-point deficit to defeat the Sealcor Highlanders, 81-71, Sunday night, January 26, at the Xavier University Gym and secure their place to represent Cagayan de Oro City in the NBTC Mindanao Finals in Oroquieta City on February 6-9, 2025. Toyland mounted an incredible rally from a 23-46 deficit in the 1st half to finally grab the lead, 56-54 on a basket by Earl Gideon Poblete early in the 4th period and then slowly pulled away for the win. Toyland’s Micoh Kurt Idulsa was named tournament Most Valuable Player. Congratulations!

Sealcor Highlanders appeared to be in completed control in the first half until Toyland regrouped and unleashed a relentless offensive and defensive effort to erase the deficit.

Meanwhile, joining Idulsa in the Mythical Five are Joseph Dumdum of Toyland Bistro, Cyrus Ubay-Ubay of Sealcor Highlanders, Dominic Caangay of AJJ Paint Center, and Jerald Abecia of Maneuver Driving Academy.


The NBTC Mindanao Finals will be played at the Bayfront Arena in Oroquieta City.
