A major milestone was recently achieved in Naawan, Misamis Oriental with the blessing, inauguration, and turnover of the new Olympic-size swimming Pool Complex. Built at a cost of P140.4 million, this state-of-the-art facility features a 25m x 50m Olympic-size pool, a 25m x 25m diving pool, and a 98m x 7m bleacher area with shower rooms, restrooms, locker rooms, and utility rooms. The facility aims to provide opportunities for young swimmers, to develop their skills, and compete at highest levels, and potentially host major events like Batang Pinoy and Palarong Pambansa.
Present during the formal opening are Misamis Oriental 2nd District Congressman Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” Emano, who initiated the project during his time as provincial governor, Governor Peter “Sr Pedro” Unabia, Naawan Mayor Dennis Roa, other provincial and municipal officials and guests.
