Construction of the CDO New West Diversion Road is progressing into The Midtown property, nearing the Carmen-Canitoan Road and Calaanan Road, commonly referred to as Marlags in the Canitoan area. The alignment has shifted to the right instead of going straight to the junction. According to earlier plans by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), a roundabout is proposed for the junction to integrate with the New West Diversion Road, improving traffic flow and connectivity. The Midtown by Vista Estates is a 22-hectare mixed-use development which will consist of a mall, hotel, exhibition and entertainment center, office buildings and residential towers.
This new diversion road will certainly enhance the feasibility of the proposed development, improving accessibility and boosting its potential for growth and investment.
