A resident of Cagayan de Oro City reportedly suffered a bone fracture after a home-service chiropractic session instead of receiving relief. Netizen Leobert Mangubat Yurong re-posted a video of the ‘hilot’ session last November 18, 2024 on Facebook, detailing his ordeal. According to Yurong, he initially deleted the video after the ‘hilot’ agreed to help pay for his hospital bills. However, following the latter’s failure to provide any financial assistance despite the agreement, he decided to re-upload the video to raise awareness. X-ray results confirmed the fracture after he was admitted to the hospital. He is now waiting for stainless steel plates to be placed on his leg. The incident has been trending in social media.
