How about fixing the chronic traffic congestion in Masterson Ave first? Adding two extra lanes will only result in traffic ending in a funnel going nowhere! Only solution is a concrete barrier in centre of road from SM to new Gaisano Lumbia. Stop motorists turning left & right across this busy highway also doing illegal u-turns for example outside Corpus Christi. This will get the traffic flowing!

Adding lanes or other measures to improve traffic flow will only have temporary effect. You might win enough time to construct alternative roads. But according to the Downs-Thomson paradox the only sustainable way to improve the traffic issue would be an improved public transport. This excludes jeepneys/buses which get stuck in traffic themselves. So we urgently neet a sort of LRT/MRT which is not more expennsive than a bunch of alternative roads.
