In addition to the proposed pedestrian overpass along Masterson Avenue near Stonestown Suites in Uptown Cagayan de Oro, a second pedestrian overpass is set to be constructed near Corpus Christi School Uptown. This development, included in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) project list under the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA), seeks to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility in the busy uptown area, addressing the needs of students and residents.
The 2025 GAA includes funding for two pedestrian overpass projects along the CDO-Airport-Bukidnon Road (Masterson Avenue). The first, located at K1444 + 082 near Stonestown Suites, has already undergone the procurement process which we have posted last month. The second, located at K1444 + 791, will be constructed near Corpus Christi School Uptown. Both projects are allocated a budget of P25 million each. By the way, road marker K1444 is near Caltex across Red Ribbon.
