PROJECT WATCH: Two pedestrian overpasses to be built in Cugman

Two pedestrian overpasses will be constructed along the National Highway in Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City. The first will be located near the Cugman Barangay Hall (Project Contract ID 25KD0036), and the second near Mandaue Foam (Project Contract ID 25KD0037). Each project has an approved budget of P22.54 million and a target completion period of 261 calendar days. These overpasses aim to enhance pedestrian safety by providing secure crossing points along the busy highway.

Here’s the perspective and layouts of the overpass project.

On a personal note, to ensure these overpasses are fully utilized, center island railings should be installed at the designated crossing points. Otherwise, pedestrians may continue to cross the highway directly, defeating the purpose of the overpasses.

Keep posted.
