An elderly person died, and several others, including children, were injured when their vehicle was rammed by an SUV driven by a minor at the intersection of Barra Road and Coastal Diversion Road on Wednesday night, November 20. Reports indicate that the victims were returning from the airport and heading to Cagayan de Oro when the SUV sped through the intersection, causing the collision. The victims were rushed to the hospital while the 17-year old driver is now in police custody. The incident was captured on CCTV.
It was gathered that the victim had just arrived at the airport after a vacation in the United States.
