The Panguil Bay Bridge has been awarded the Grand Prize for the Excellent Structure Award by the Korean Institute Bridge and Structural Engineering (KIBSE) Society. The award was received by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Senior Undersecretary Engr. Emil K. Sadain during the 2024 Korean Society of Civil Engineers (KSCE) Convention, Conference & Civil Expo held on October 17, 2024 at the Jeju International Convention Center in Jeju, South Korea.
The Panguil Bay Bridge, which was officially completed in September 2024 is the longest sea-crossing bridge in Mindanao.
