The young basketball teams of Xavier University – Pilipinas made an impressive debut at the First Taipei International Youth Basketball (TIYB) Tournament, securing three wins and just one loss but two more losses later in the day evened their record. The 12-Under team outplayed League MVP of Hong Kong with a 43-33 victory, while the 10-Under team edged League MVP of Hong Kong, 36-32, before narrowly falling to Falcons Taiwan, 36-39. Meanwhile, the 16-Under team clinched a solid 37-33 win against Boli of Hong Kong before yielding to League MVP of Hong Kong, 33-38. Then the 12-Under lost to Falcons Taiwan, 35-46.
