Don’t be fooled by this cute dog! “Mario” is a highly trained K9 Narcotic Detection Dog (NDD) with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office No. 10. Seen here with his handler, a PDEA agent, “Mario” is part of security operations at Laguindingan Airport today, October 11. Super “Mario”, with reference to the popular online game character, is with the PDEA-10 Airport Interdiction Unit, working closely with the Laguindingan Airport Aviation Security Unit. Together, they combat illegal drug activities in key areas of the airport, including the Check-in, Pre-departure, Arrival, the Cargo Building and Cargo Parking.
