The Department of Public Works and Highways in Northern Mindanao (DPWH-X) conducted a pre-bid conference yesterday, October 7, 2024, for Project ID Contract No. 24K00503 or the Carmen Steel Bridge (Replacement of Permanent Weak Bridges). Based on the project details, the bridge now known as Ysalina Bridge, will not be replaced as previously considered. Instead, it will be reinforced with three additional piers to strengthen its structure. Additionally, the bridge freeboard will now be raised by 1.5 meters from its current level to improve clearance and flood resilience. Deadline of submission of interested bidders will be on October 21.
Interestingly, there was no mention of bike lanes and additional sidewalk on the 200-meter long steel bridge as previously discussed.

Below are presentation slides.

The approved budget for contract is P159 million with duration of 330 calendar days.
